The final Web 2.0 Tool I researched was one where you can host your presentations and then share them with other people. It's called Slideshare. I found this tool on "The Top 100 Tools for Learning". I wanted to be diverse in my selection of tools this week and so I thought that this tool was a good choice as it provides a means for both myself and for my students to share information. Slideshare is free to use and is highly rated. I would first implement Slideshare in my classroom by creating a few presentations so that my students could see how the presentations look and they could become accustomed to the tool, then I would ask them how they like the look of the presentation. I use powerpoint for my warm ups and some content already and my students are already familiar with the use of the technology. I would then assign the tool as a team collaboration project with rubrics with a given topic as a presentation of their choice. Last week, I chose a similar Web 2.0 tool which incorporated voice narration. The only difference with this tool, is that this tool is actually compatible with Facebook and Twitter! It is also compatible with Microsoft. The only thing I will have to make sure of is that it is fully accessible on my district's network. I did not run into any problems with Slidestory. The only constraint at this time, is the same one: time and the push to teach science content. Finally, what I like most about Slideshare is that you can create a multitude of presentations not just for education, but for business, finance, and humor. Slideshare can be used by anybody wanting to present any type of content or material.

I read through your posting on slide share and find it illuminating. I did stumble on slide share and find their presentations useful. You drag and post to the board and tell your story. I will use it to teach Digital story telling as it helpful. i am glad you brought it up Thanks.

4 BP4_2009121_Tool#1(Kidyos and Games Classroom)
I would like to take this opportunity to thank my instructor, Rena Hanaway for this assignment. For if it wasn’t for this assignment, I would not have come across these wonderful web 2.0 sites for children. As a Kindergarten teacher, I am always on the lookout for wholesome and safe websites to use with my students. I love technology in the classroom but with so much junk out there, it can become hard to find fun and educational online games and videos for this very young age group. I loved the Kidyos site because it has been screened and certified safe. As I explored the site, I immediately added it to my list of site to make available to both my students and my 4 year old daughter. I have already signed her up for it. I will use the site during literacy workstation as one of my computer approved sites for the kids to visit. I also explored the Games Classroom website. I liked the site as well and will use it again for both my students and my daughter. The games on this site are very educational. There are estimating and comparison games, both are some of the objectives we teach in math. I can do a lot with these sites. I am so excited and I know my children will love watching the videos and playing the games on these sites.
These are truly great web destinations for accessing high-quality educational videos and games for children.

This is an interesting site for me- one that kids can access without fear of it being unwholesome for them. from the pics of the site i find it attractive and believe kids will like it also.
i know you are not the only person appreciative of Rena's work ion exposing us to web 2.0 tools. i have been exposed and benefited what i can share with others.

BP8-2009-122#3 Webinars: More of web 2.0 tools
More Web 2.0 Tools.
Webinars from such like Elluminate; Classtools from classtools.net are tools that are great for e learning. However podcasts will be more applicable to my workplace.
A podcast is a series of digital media files, usually either digital audio or video, that is made available for download via web syndication, according wikipedia. pod catchers download from the internet any new files they wish.
Use of podcast for education will encompass getting educational materials from the web which students can download offline and listen to or watch.
It could be used too give instruction, and in depth analysis of a subject or topics of interest.
However it does not have the advantage of immediate response as it will be with blogging or webinars as when questions or suggestions could be typed in a chat box during webinars.
i might say the digital story telling recorded and broadcast through education network will be most appropriate since connection to an internet is strictly forbidden of prison inmates. So one way communication systems will do for such students and learners.
